Are you looking to buy a house? The purchase of your home may be the largest expenditure you will have in your life. Therefore, applying for a home loan is a process that you should not take lightly. The cost of a house is just your beginning expense. Points and the interest you must pay for a mortgage during the term of your loan will be much more than the price of the house. That’s why paying attention to the details of your home loan may turn out to be more important than the sale price of the home. To get the most out of your mortgage, consider the following: … [Read more...] about Dos and Don’ts in Mortgage

If anyone is looking for vacation suggestions, Playa del Carmen in Mexico was pretty incredible! The hotel we stayed at was beautiful with tons of pools, a great beach, and an all-inclusive setup (all food, drinks, and entertainment was free). If you haven't tried an all-inclusive resort yet, I strongly recommend giving it a shot. You may never try anything else! Having gone to Mexico once before, we didn't feel the need to go on too many excursions. We did go into downtown Playa del Carmen to walk the strip and see the sights. That was an adventure! To be honest the resort had a lot going on with activities, dinners, and shows to keep entertained at all times! Here's a few photos: … [Read more...] about Weekend Wind Down 6/16/2012
Happy 10 Year Wedding Anniversary
Today is my 10 year wedding anniversary. That’s right – it was ten years ago today that two crazy kids thought they’d make their relationship official by saying I-do's and exchanging self-written vows. I realize that this is a pretty small amount of time in the grand scheme of things (my parents are approaching their 40 year wedding anniversary), but I am quite proud of what we’ve been through and accomplished. So in light of that, I’d like to reflect on a few thoughts: … [Read more...] about Happy 10 Year Wedding Anniversary

Could You Be a Millionaire Messenger?
In my last post, we reviewed the book “The Millionaire Messenger” by Brendon Burchard. To recap, this was a book about how virtually anyone can break into the “expert industry” and potentially make millions of dollars doing so. As a follow-up, I thought it might be fun to explore this premise a little more closely. Is it possible to really do this? Do you think you might have what it takes to get paid for giving people your advice? Aren’t I Doing This Already? Why even entertain this book and the idea of being a messenger? Well for starters, isn’t that what all of us bloggers are doing right now? Week after week, we post our helpful tips and plans for saving and making money in hopes that other people will become inspired or use it … [Read more...] about Could You Be a Millionaire Messenger?
Book Review: “The Millionaire Messenger” by Brendon Burchard
Could my “message” really be worth a million dollars? That may sound cheesy, but that was the hook that grabbed my attention as I singled this title out amongst the many recent publications of finance books on Amazon. There are a million books that encourage you to save as much money as you can in your 401k and IRA. However, as a student of passive income, I wanted to read about something different from conventional advice. Along the same theme of how the book “ProBlogger” entices you to become a six-figure blogger, I figured why not see if this guy can help me step it up to a million? What Is This Book About? As you would expect, “The Millionaire Messenger: Make a Difference and a Fortune Sharing Your Advice” is precisely about what … [Read more...] about Book Review: “The Millionaire Messenger” by Brendon Burchard
Weekend Wind Down 6/02/2012
I’ve been back in the U.S. for just over a week and now it’s time to leave to again! Only this time, it’s for pleasure instead of work. We’re off to Playa del Carmen in Mexico for our annual Summer Vacation! The trip could not have come at a better time. School just got out for my wife and kids. And being a proud Dad, I must brag – both of the kids did really, really well on their report cards! … [Read more...] about Weekend Wind Down 6/02/2012
