Weekend Wind Down 6/02/2012

I’ve been back in the U.S. for just over a week and now it’s time to leave to again! Only this time, it’s for pleasure instead of work. We’re off to Playa del Carmen in Mexico for our annual Summer Vacation!

The trip could not have come at a better time. School just got out for my wife and kids. And being a proud Dad, I must brag – both of the kids did really, really well on their report cards!

Blog News:

So in my absence, I will be pre-scheduling my posts to publish automatically over the course of the next week and a half. Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll have much opportunity to comment back or visit other blogs, but we’ll see.

Also unknown to me, I randomly checked my blog stats and found that a few of my important scores have been raised:

• Domain Authority went from 24 to 34

• SEOmoz MozRANK went from 2.55 to 4.01

In addition, my Google Adsense was north of $33 this month. I’m somewhat expecting this to go down since I think Technorati may have influenced my April and May traffic. I was ranking at No. 4 in their Finance category for a while, but somehow I have slipped way, way down to the 60’s. Perhaps I should interpret that as my posts got less interesting ??

Unfortunately due to a “template update” that I should have avoided in WordPress, I just discovered that my tracking code was erased and my Google Analytics has been flat-lining for the past few days. Therefore I have no idea what my real traffic was for May. Ugh – updates!
